Rain
In the darkness as the rain begins to fall,
That loud persisting sound that drowns out all else...
The dreams emerge from the lightest of the shadows,
Taking shape in shy and delicate ways--but once formed
Are bold and daring, taking hold of the mind in which they dance.
Sometimes the music is rich and lovely...
Other times it is demanding and rough,
Leaving you flushed and breathless when it ends,
Grateful for the final note and the call of day's beginning.
Lighting cracks the sky and thunder booms the sky's pain,
But in sleeps hold, you simply turn and pull the blanket tighter,
In dreams the music grows louder and the dance begs your att
